Chef Monsta: I cook, therefore I blog

My family’s Labor Day Monday was full of fun and celebrations. My older sister got married to the best guy ever at the beautiful Pleasantdale Chateau, in West Orange, NJ. The food was catered by the AMAZING Main Event Caterers who are based out of Englewood, NJ. I don’t have many food pics because I was dancing up a storm and didn’t even have much time to eat (weird, right?)….but here are a few shots that I managed to scrounge up.

The appetizer was a trio of treats: a carrot-ginger soup shooter, salmon with mandarin orange glaze, and a salad of avocado, mango, and papaya. A sweet beginning to the meal.

The entree was DELISH. A duo of chateaubriand steak and duck breast sat atop creamy polenta and haricot verts, garnished with crispy potato shavings.

The dessert was yet another trio….chocolate souffle, banana bread pudding, and apple crisp. (I don’t have a close up so some friends made the photo)

And here is my beautiful sister and her NEW husband, dancing their first dance!
